SELF CONTROL

Gündüz değil de geceleyin kendinizi kapıp koyverenlerdenseniz kontrolünüzü kaybetmeniz daha kolay olur. Ama sonra sizi kim toparlar, orasını bilemem.

26 Ağustos 2004'te aramızdan ayrılan Laura Branigan, başka şarkıcı ve grupların şarkılarını alır ve kendince yorumlardı. Self Control şarkısını meşhur eden de o oldu ama şarkının orijinali aslında RAF adlı gruba aittir.
(Bu RAF ismi de neyin kısaltması birader? İngiliz Kraliyet Hava Kuvvetleri mi? Alman Kızılordu Fraksiyonu mu? Bir bilen çıkıp anlatsa da biz de meraktan kurtulsak.)

Bu şarkıda Laura Branigan'ın söylediği versiyonun sözleri RAF'ınkiyle neredeyse aynıdır, ama bir iki minik farkla... Şöyle ki, orijinal versiyonda kendini geceye vuran arkadaşımız şehir ışıkları ve boyanmış kızlardan bahsederek girer şarkıya. Laura ise bizatihi 'boyanmış kız' olduğundan dem vurur.

Bir kısım gece insanları vardır, ortamı müsait bulunca dağıtırlar. Bunların dişi cinse mensup olanları, dağıtmanın dozunu kaçırmaya daha bir meyillidirler. Onları görünce hemen tanırsınız.
(Hatta halk arasında bu vaziyeti anlatan "Damı dötü dağıtmak" şeklinde bir de deyim vardır, duymuşsunuzdur bir yerlerde.)

Onları görüp tanıyacak kadar yaklaşmışsanız, size tavsiyem acilen uzaklaşın yanlarından. Bu tip kızlar adamın iliğini kemiğini kurutur. Parasını yer. Başını belaya sokar.

Tabii onlara sorarsanız meselenin özü başka türlüdür. Cyndi Lauper ağzıyla "Girls just wanna have fun" derler çıkarlar işlerine gelmezse.

Şimdi ben tabii turistik mekanlara, ne bileyim Çeşme'ye veya Bodrum'a veya İstanbul'dayken Reina'ya veya Laila'ya takılan biri olsaydım, gece hayatı ve gece insanları hakkında size daha doğru ve kesin bilgiler verebilecektim. Neylersiniz ki ben bir garip Keloğlanım, kelamımın hükmü kendi gözümün gördüğüyle sınırlı.

Bakın bu kadar lafı sizin gibi aklıbaşında ve kafası çalışan insanlar için ettim. Beyazlar giyinip gece yaratıklarıyla takılmak isteyenler içinse işte Self Control:
